Re: Rita's Rump Pocket Fitted - So far, I love it!
thanks mamas!
heather-- i'm definitely no sewing expert, and have almost no experience. if you have a machine, the instructions are really clear and simple-- i bet you could do it!

Re: Rita's Rump Pocket Fitted - So far, I love it!
That is AWESOME! I love it! And those little chunker thighs aren't too bad either.
How do you like the fleece inner? All mine are woven and flannel in combo or another. I was thinking of a fleece inner and outer pocket for bedtime because I've been up at 2 and 3am the past three night changing diapers and pajamas on my 14month old nurse-a-holic and it's NOT COOL. She's not eating much in the way of solids lately(she's totally regressed on eating) and has started super soaking her diapers. So I'm looking for something that keeps her sensitive skin dry but is breathable and you can stuff to high heaven. She literally soaked through a RRP with 2 flats and a thirsties cover and fleece pajamas last night. Like I could WRING THEM OUT!

![]() holy smokes about your super soaker!! The fleece was a little tricky to work with, but because I had one flannel layer, it made it much easier. I think it might be tricky (for a newbie like me, anyway) to use a feece inner and outer, though. dd just got up from a nap, and was nice and dry while the insert/outer were SOAKED. so i can vouch for the inner serving it's purpose well

erm, don't think I'm all fancy schmancy sewer over here. Totally NOT. I'm a knitter. I'm a barely passable sewer.
So maybe the 2 layers of fleece would be difficult, huh? Maybe I'll start off like you did and do a flannel outer and fleece inner and work up from there. But that doesn't sound like me. I'm more of a "dive right in and DO IT!" kinda gal. My seam ripper and I are best buds.

Re: Rita's Rump Pocket Fitted - So far, I love it!
Ok. I was inspired, and gave it a try. Love, love, love it! I'm seriously making a stash of these and selling my peewells. I'm really feeling the need to go simple. Here's our first. I have both a boy and a girl who'll be wearing these, so I'm making them all with boyish prints on one side, and girly prints on the other so I can use them all for either one (they're reversible!)
Here's my ds modeling his dump truck rrp stuffed with a trimmed premium pf. ![]() ![]() ![]() ETA: I didn't preshrink my flannel on these first 2, and so now they're a bit hard to stuff, and I have to use 2 pins on my ds since they shrunk a bit. Won't be making that mistake again! I washed the remainder of my flannel before cutting!
