I would like to add that my DH is circumcised and our sex life is *far* from normal. He has always had issues w/ sensitivity (or lack thereof) so sex wasn't that great for him...and now he just isn't interested at all. It's just too much...work I guess.

Also he has alot of scarring from it that he is self conscious about and I'm sure that doesn't help. I could never do that to my child.

ITA! It's no longer covered here. I got a form at my first appointment that said if you want it done, you need to pay $383 for it. I showed DH that, and told him it's another reason why I won't do it. He hasn't said a word about it since .

That's awesome so I know where is 'here'? Is this the state policy or a private insurance policy?

I'm in Minnesota. I think it's just the private insurance policy. We don't have state healthcare, so I don't know if it's still covered under that or not.

I'm not sure about other states, but I know that Colorado Medicaid no longer covers RIC. I was dancing in the waiting room at the ped's office!! I'm glad the government was able to find a needed place for a budget cut!

I was thinking Medicaid when I said state insurance, I am pretty sure that Minnesota is one of the states that discontinued coverage. The good thing about that (besides the obvious) is that once State programs (like Medicaid) drop coverage private insurance in the state (like yours) often follows.

I am too, I was ecstatic when I saw that Colorado dropped coverage.
