Post-partum belly photos

Letting first-time mamas see what happens is a big reason I posted this. I really wanted to take a photo of the bod, in the right clothes, just asap after baby was born, like an hour (or two or three or four) afterwards. But you can see that 20 hours was the best I could do (same thing with my second child).

Oh well, my belly at 20 hours post-partum looks only a tad smaller than it did before, so I doubt it was much different earlier.

Wow, neat idea. I know I was certainly shocked after dd was born. She came out and *poof* belly was gone. Totally deflated. I didnt look like I had even had a baby at all. Too bad the extra 50 lbs I had gained during my pgcy didnt disappear too!!

Great idea

Here is the best one I have of PP w/DS (I wish I would have taken actual belly shots like I did PP w/DD). This is about 7.5 weeks PP, I walked out of the hospital smaller then before I was prego w/DS and gained 11lbs w/him.


Here is about 3 weeks PP w/DD. It took me a bit longer to lose the baby belly w/DD. I gained 27lbs w/DD.

I don't have any pics to share (Sadly, I never took any!), but I wanted to tell you all what my newly 2-yo DD said as we were scrolling through the pics. She was looking intently at the screen and said, "Pretty bellies!" I totally agree, beautiful bellies, mamas!!

This is a great idea. I am doing a pregnancy pic every week and after baby will have a few postpartum ones too. My last belly pic is going to be me hold the baby where the bump was

I'll play! I only have pics from 2 days PP though. I have no idea how much I lost.. I gained about 20 pounds and lost it all by 3 months PP. I was heavy to start with though....
