Hush Little Baby, followed by Twinkle Twinkle, You are My Sunshine, and sometimes Delta Dawn, lol.

Re: What's your dc's favorite bedtime song...or
Caleb was soothed by Cold Play-- and when he would go through his witching hour with colic, I'd sing Twinkle Twinkle, the ABC song and Jesus Loves Me over and over and over for hours-- those three songs, and those three songs only.
With Ashley.... to go to bed I'll sing Morning Town Ride. She also likes "Hey Baby." (I think it was in Dirty Dancing-- Heeeeyyyyyy hey Baby, I want to know will you be my girl........") Train whistle blowing, makes a sleepy noise; Underneath their blankets go all the girls and boys. Rocking, rolling, riding, out along the bay, All bound for Morningtown, many miles away. Driver at the engine, fireman rings the bell, Sandman swings the lantern, to show that all is well. Rocking, rolling, riding, out along the bay, All bound for Morningtown, many miles away. Maybe it is raining where our train will ride; All the little travellers are warm and snug inside. Rocking, rolling, riding, out along the bay, All bound for Morningtown, many miles away. Somewhere there is sunshine, somewhere there is day, Somewhere there is Morningtown, many miles away. Rocking, rolling, riding, out along the bay, All bound for Morningtown, many miles away.

Re: What's your dc's favorite bedtime song...or
I am a die hard Punk and Metal head who also used to work on the Renn Circuit. My kids know all kinds of weird songs. The other day Kearnan's speach teacher asked about a song he had been singing in class. She said she couldn't understand the words but there was somethign about a towel in it. I knew right away he had been singing "Stacey's Mom" by Fountains of Waine (one of Dh's favorites, he is more into light punk and ska). I was totally
and just said I had no idea. He also sings songs from the Gorrilaz all of the time. For Christmas he is getting his own Cd player and a couple of cd's. For lullabye's my kids like "lu lu lou"- from Disney's lady and the tramp "Baby Mine"- From Dumbo "Black Bird"-The Beatles (this can stop Kearnan's worst tantrums in seconds) "The last unicorn"- By America for the last unicorn sound track (this is Tharen's favorite, it has the same affect as Black bird does on Kearnan) "In the Sea"-America for the last unicorn sound track "Amarillis"- The Bedlam Bards "Apple Bee Faire" Kenny Klein (a great friend of mine from the circuit) "Gypsy Love Song" Kenny Klein "Golden Apples" Kenny Klein During the day I sing all kinds of thing, mostly Renn Balads because they are the easiest for me to remember, but we also sing other things if the mood strikes us or we have a cd player near by. The boys love the more bloodthirsty songs about pirates and warriors and hunters. Music is the back drop of our day, and I know so many songs from my own childhood, and from years on the renn circuit.

I'd forgotten Baby Mine and THe Last Unicorn---
I also sing Godspeed (Sweet Dreams) by the Dixie Chicks to Caleb. There's also a song from Moulin Rouge, that a friend changed the lyrics a bit... making it the sweetest song. I'll have to find them....

I was just gonna post that one! Thats DS's favorite nighttime song. He originally heard it on our wiggles DVD, but my dad also burned him the original song the other day and he likes that one too. Ash will listen to all my music though. Heres him watching my NOFX dvd.

Re: What's your dc's favorite bedtime song...or
Which Wiggles DVD??
That was the song my dad sung to me as a little girl-- my dad would sing that song, and my mom would sing a song by the Seekers. DH.... never remembers anyone singing to him. ![]() We're a musical house, with music going most of the time. When we need to get our energy up it's jazz.... Caleb's getting pretty good at belting out the words to Luck be a Lady LOL.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS.../chrisficti-20 The song is the second to last. Its really cute they're all in a train (well really they're in front of a green screen, but you know ) and the song is just like the original, but sung in a lower octive.Didn't the Seekers originally do "Morningtown Ride"?
