Large for Dates...

i measured 3-4 weeks ahead my entire pregnancy. when i delivered at 37 weeks the day before i was meauring 41 weeks. when my water broke my mw was drenched from her neck (even some hair lol) down to her socks in amniotic fluid. the baby was having trouble breathing and was very small. they did the gestation assesment on him and determined he was only 35 weeks not 37. i had a freaking crap load of amniotic fluid!!!

i forgot to say that your placenta and cord also have "heart beats" and the doppler could have been picking those up.

I never measured large, but my gestational diabetes showed up at 15 weeks with my last pregnancy. So, it is possible that it is that; but I'm hoping for TWIN GIRLS for you!!!!!!!

When I hit about 20ish weeks I measure large too. I had a TOOOOOOON of fluid. Riley was only 6lbs 2oz at birth but when they broke my water is was like opening the flood gates! So, it could just be that too! (but I'm still holding out for twins)

I think it's pretty likely, Bethany. From what you said a few weeks ago it sounded possible...now it sounds likely. Your midwife probably has a pretty good hunch too because they usually don't order ultrasounds needlessly. I'll be thinking about you! Can't wait to find out!

Well, I hardly slept last night...LOL Just laid there going...OMG, what if it's twins...nah, couldn't be...what's if something's wrong with the baby? nah, it'll be fine....what if it's twins?? LMBO over and over and over....grrrr

I think I'll have to stay really busy today or I'll lose my mind.
