She's outgrown the bouncer...now what?
When DH or I are showering in the a.m, DD sits in the bouncer. She's still entertained by it for the most part, but has started to dangle out of it at times.
So...what's the next device that'll keep her happy and secure while we shower? Our bathroom's too small for a bouncer or exersaucer and if I just sit her on the rug w/ a few toys, she'll prob. be swimming in the toilet or have crawled to Mexico by the time I get out. What to do? |

take her in with you. thats what i do sometimes. or i have to get up before dh and have him do the morning routine while i shower (quickly) or wait until he gets home from work if i want one alone. mostly she just comes in with me.

Re: She's outgrown the bouncer...now what?
I would usually pull the pack n play to right in front of the bathroom door, or saucer, or jumperoo. I would just shower with the door open. If he could see me he wouldn't freak out.
Just make sure whatever toys are in the pack n play aren't climbable....

Re: She's outgrown the bouncer...now what?
Id say get a water pouch. Sometimes w/ my DD I put the bouncy seat in a place that she can't flip herself out and just keep talking to her while im showering

Re: She's outgrown the bouncer...now what?
I would baby proof the bathroom and close the door.
If she can't get in the toilet or the cupboards, I would think she would be okay with some toys on the floor. But a pack and play is a great idea too! |

Re: She's outgrown the bouncer...now what?
childproof the bathroom, bring in some toys, and shut the door
bring her in with you shower earlier, before she wakes up shower when DH can play with her put her in a highchair in the doorway with toys

Re: She's outgrown the bouncer...now what?
I always took/take DD in with me, now thats she bigger she just plays in the tub, when she was teeny, I put her in a pouch and mostly she didnt need washing, just me.
But if you childproof the bathroom it should be ok if she is on the floor with a few toys... I have a FP infant to toddler rocker that was also great for when I showered...
