Re: anyone else's DC not able to walk well in Robeez or the like?
I never put my kids in hard shoes before they are about three. Ds1 walked just fine in his soft shoes (they were soft star moccasins). I didn't start putting them on him till he had been walking a little while because he learned to walk in the summer and did very little walking outside until he was a touch older. He had the hardest time learning to walk in hard soled shoes when he was about three. I didn't know you could buy some brands larger so when he outgrew the 18-24month size I had to move him to normal sneakers. He walked like Frankenstein for weeks and fell down alot. But then he figured it out and has been wearing them ever since. Ds2 is just learning to really walk now. He can only do it barefoot. He can take a couple of steps in his soft shoes but he doesn't feel comfy doing it much yet. I figure as he gets better at walking he will get better at walking in shoes.
