between a crock pot and a slow cooker? I got a crock pot for Christmas that I would really like to use, but I don't know where to start (my mom fried *everything*). I've seen slow cooker recipes, but I'm not sure if that's the same as crock pot recipes. Someone educate me a little!!

It is the same thing, Crockpot is just a brand, kind of like how some folks call the refrigerator the "Frigidaire." crockpot = slow cooker! I used mine today! I am the crock pot queen!

we have the Fixit and forget it one. There are several versions of that

they are all down-to-earth and simple to fix
