I noticed two red spots on his stomach this morning, sort of close together, which made me think it looked as if it were two separate bites (spider, maybe.) However, I couldn't see any actual bite mark

He got up from his nap, and I notice a rash all over. Some of it is small flat bumps, other is big red spots, like the ones I saw this morning.

Here are pics. Does anyone recognize this?? The first two are these big bumps that are now all over (no pattern, just scattered.) The last one is hard to see, but it is like a contact rash... small, slightly raised bumps all over his torso, front and back, and somewhat arms.
He is telling me it's a boo-boo, but can't tell me if it actually hurts/itches.

Did he run a fever for a couple of days previous to the rash?

Chicken pox? When I had chicken pox it started on the torso and then spread, same with my two older girls when they had cp. Not sure if that's what this looks like though. I thought a girl in the nursery at church was coming down w/ chicken pox, but her mama said the had a flee problem could this be bug bites?

It doesn't look anything like when my son had Roseola. Chicken Pox is closer, but with as big as soon look, I don't really think that either. Could it be hives? You might try a dose of Benadryl and see if that helps it.

No fever. Definitely not roseola. (That was my first thought as well; ds3 had it a month ago, so the timing seemed right. I really don't think that is it, though.) Chickenpox- I don't think so, b/c the telltale "pimple" isn't there. I checked out measles and german measles, which the hives-like rash kind of matches, but he doesn't have a fever, body aches, or anything else that matches the description of measles.

The big marks make me think of bug bites. We were playing outside yesterday, but inside all day today. I was even thinking maybe bed bugs? (eww), but he shares a room w/ his twin, who has no marks whatsoever, so I don't think that could be it.

I noticed that the bigger marks all over his legs are almost all in sets of two. The hives-like rash has spread all over his torso.

We gave him Benedryl, and we'll see what it looks like in the morning. It is just so weird... I looked all over online and can't find anything that quite matches.

I'm at a loss. Who knows... I'm always stumped by this kid!

Everyone has their issues, lol.
