Nursing Your Baby- Karen Pryor
Nice info on nursing, birth, and even for sick babies in the NICU. I read about Kangaroo care without even knowing I would need it!

Everyone has such good posts, I have read most of the books listed! One of my favorites that is not on the list yet is Medications and Mothers Milk by Dr. Thomas Hale. He is one of the foremost breastmilk experts, and the book lists nearly every medication known to man and the effects of the medication on the breastmilk, and the infant. A must have for any nursing mother, you can't always depend on your dr to be up-to-date with what is and is not okay to take while nursing!

"The Milk Memos" by Cate Colburn-Smith and Andrea Serrette for moms who are going back to work and bfing. It's a must read. Very good tips on pumping and working. Easy read.

I can't believe nobody's mentioned this one! I recently checked out "Mothering your Nursing Toddler" and it is an absolute must-have!!

I still haven't read "The Womanly Art...", I've got too much on my plate right now though!!

I've also heard that "A time to wean" is really good, it's not so much about weaning as it is about setting limits if you need to.

I liked How My Breasts Saved the World. It's a really funny memoir--I had trouble nursing ODS and was encouraged to see someone else who had a rough experience.
