Here are my younger son a year or so ago.







Here's when he wanted dreads:



His hair eventually hit his waist, sooo pretty and blond and wavy, but he cut his hair when his big brother did. He was broken-hearted because he said people didn't hug him as much now that he had short hair. He's growing it back out, it's at shoulderblade level again. He loves having long hair. He says it's okay if people think he's a girl, because that means they think he's pretty, and being pretty is good. I think he likes the attention.

He keeps shorter hair now because he got tired of it getting caught in trees when he'd climb and play in the woods.

ds wanted a mohawk last fall. after a couple weeks with it, we shaved it off and he looked like this:


Then he decided he wanted to grow his hair long. 13 months later he looks like this:


Man it takes a long time for hair to grow! I have a hair appt next week. I've been thinking about taking him in for a trim to clean it up- especially the bangs.

I love these photos! Thank you everyone. It will be a long time before my son has some long locks. I'm looking forward to it, though. He's 13 months and I can barely do the newborn mohawk on him.

nice photos, it doesn't matter if they have long and better hairs compared to girls as long as they look good and they are comfortable with it. I am planning to suggest not to cut my nephews hair, just to experiment. Maybe it will result to a better look than the usual.
