Are these completely open in the back? Is there anyway to secure it for when I am carrying DD3 to the car? Or just hold it closed?

Actually I just started putting two snaps down the back It was actually a request by someone whose toddler can walk in hers by herself but needed it to close int eh back. So I decided to add it to all of them, just yesterday! When the child is being carried it's actually just as easy to cross it over in the back to get them to the car, but now you have the choice to go either way If you look halfway down on the 1st page you'll see where I explain it. I should post some pics actually...check back in a few and I'll show you!

Ok that looks great! I will have to talk to DH about one but I REALLY want one between the wind and going to the bus stop with a child that kicks the blankets off everytime.

I'm glad you like it! I've had all positive comments on it so far, so I guess it was a good idea Just an FYI everything I have in stock will be $25 ppd until Christmas...then they will go back to the regular $30 ppd

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm - wondering how far you are from me in So Portland. Would make it so I do not have to use PP. I would love a teal and brown dots one. Are these doubled for warmth? I bought one last year for my older boy from a WAHM here and I LOVE it. It is made with doubled layers of fleece for warmth.

I'm in Augusta, so about an hour from you I don't know if that's too far for you? Mine is actually not made with fleece , but the Micro plush like they use for blankets, so it's already thicker. But I just started making an extra layer after a request for a custom one, and those are an extra $10 ($12 including shipping) Though, even with my DS, I haven't found that I've needed it yet. I just dress him in an extra clothing layer (nothing too thick so I don't have to adjust his car seat straps) and a hat, and he's been fine Let me know, thanks!
