coop & swap requirements

To apply to co-ops or swaps, go to your User CP and click on Group Memberships on the bottom left. Select the forum for which you wish to opt in. In the 'reason for request' box, please enter your name and phone number for co-ops, and your name, number and address for swaps.
Co-op host application also needs your full name, phone number and physical address.

Co-op requirements: Min 50 posts to apply and 5 positive feedback.
Swap requirements: 500 posts, 3 months of membership here and 10 positive feedback at two sources (or positive f/b here and 1000 posts)

Host requirements: 3 months of membership here and two sources of positive feedback, plus 1000 posts for swap hosts and 2000 posts for co-op hosts. Upon applying, we will call to verify your phone number, and send a letter that must be sent back to verify your address (this is for hosts, only).

So what is the benefit of being a member of a co-op or swap? I don't totally understand all of this...I'm fairly new. =)

I followed the directions but it still won't let me in to the coop I'm trying to view. Did I do something wrong or have I just not been okay'd by admin or something?

Ama, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

All of the applications are manually approved,so it can take up to a week to gain access to the swaps/co-ops
