I tried this and I think it's great!
I've thought about trying flats, but was nervous about buying a dozen and paying shipping too -- went to Ikea and there were 3 burp cloths for 3.99 -- thought "Now's my chance!"

A great way to trial flats without investing too much!

DS loves them! Gives him lots of thigh room to move his legs!

BTW he is 10 weeks, about 14 pounds. Used a XS Thirsties in this photo.

I bought a few this weekend after seeing this. I had never tried flats before but I think I'm hooked!

I added in a gerber flat that we used to use as a burp cloth and they seem absorbent enough for my 23 month old. She can wear them for 2-3 hours without being totally soaked. They definitely need some sort of doubler though.
