I couldn't find a better place to put this and I hope it's okay to post it here:

I have a suggestion that I think will
a) make it easier for DS mamas to browse the WAHM offerings
and
b) has the potential to provide a little extra revenue for DS

What about a WAHM Directory?

It would have different categories (Diapers, Mama Items, Toys, Cosmetics, etc.) and then each DS WAHM could have one listing (with link to store front or site) on the directory.
DS could offer more prominent listings to WAHMs that either are site supporters already or pay a small fee for a 'highlighted listing'. (that's where the revenue thing comes in: motivating people to become site supporters or offer an extra service for a small fee).

Basically whenever somebody is looking for something in particular they could go to that directory and find WAHM stores that offer exactly what they're looking for rather than searching through the WAHM Wares threads.

Of course the WAHM Wares forum would still stay since for many DS WAHMS it is their main 'store front' (not everybody has their own website, etc.)

What does management think about that?

Great job but I bet it would be tough to get a completely new site started with this.

But I think it would be a great addition to a site that already has all this traffic like DS does. Just a listing within DS - not a link. Something really convenient for shoppers.

I second the motion that DS should have a WAHM directory. I would like to support more small businesses but it is hard to search through everything on the forum.
