Came on DS last night and went to shut the browser and the browser kept opening multiple windows again and again by itself. It opened over 60 windows while I was trying to close them out. I ran AVG and it caught nothing, then I ran superanti spyware and it found a trojan.vundo-variant/F, it was moved but I hope it is not going to cause more problems.

I've had a virus blocked twice now as soon as I open DS.

i'm new here, and i'm olso not good in hardware. any suggestion for a good antivirus?

My one laptop is ruined

. I cant even get on it to use it now. There are several viruses and they are ALL from ds. I hope this one doesnt get it too

What kind of antivirus/antimalware were you running? When was the last time you had a scan done? Any other details?

sorry i didnt see this...we have webroot with spysweeper and keep up with scans. hopefully this laptop doesnt get it

Alpo.. thanks so much for the info. I love reading about this stuff. Its great. I cannot find any serial number markings on it. Do you know how much it would be worth ballpark?

I got what DH is calling a "Windows Data Recovery" trojan (displays false error messages in order to get you to pay for removal) from inadvertently clicking an ad here...
