Re: ALDI - can anyone give opinions?
We always buy the co-jack and sharp white cheddar and they are really good- I will check the ingredients.

Re: ALDI - can anyone give opinions?
The ALDIs near us are great. they got rid of all the "ghetto" ones and are building in the burbs. Great price on milk, cottage cheese, etc. I like their pork chops but for the most part they aren't big on meat. great for baking supplies around the holidays and small enough to get in and out of quick and easy with no meltdowns.

Re: ALDI - can anyone give opinions?
I would say we do about 85% of our shopping there. I get all my diary from there, and their milk is by far the cheapest I have found. I don't buy much meat from ours though. I bought some pork chops and they cooked down to next to nothing, after reading the package I saw that they were enhanced with 17% water/broth!!!! Dry goods are a great deal though. I really like the Light and Fit branded stuff there. I say give it a try; they have a 100% money back policy, so if you buy anything you don't love you can take it back and they will refund all your money.

Re: ALDI - can anyone give opinions?
I heard that the Trader Joes people now own Aldi. They do have some of the same products and yes they do have the meals in a bag like Tj's.

Re: ALDI - can anyone give opinions?
Our aldis has good produce except the bananas always go from greenish to brown like overnight
I think the dairy (milk) is good and cheap, cheese I can get a better price at a stock up sale time at our Krogers I wasnt thrilled with the meats Alfredo sauce and the tortilini were yummy

Aldi's is great for some stuff, others we get elsewhere! usually i get pasta when they have either B1G1 or $1 pasta sales at our Pick N Save. I get their meat sauce, frozen stuff, dinner rolls are great there too. Their bread is cheap, we like to freeze it for later bc the dates are always close to expiring, no biggy though. Our bananas always did the same thing, along with the onions, they alwasy sprout before hand-this is bc they do not store them correctly. It's a hit and miss thing, but I love them for the most part, we also do not buy meat from there, we get it cheaper at our PNS on sale

Re: ALDI - can anyone give opinions?
We love Aldis! They have great EVOO amazingly! Good dried fruit, chocolate, cheese, produce, pickles, and well all around tons of stuff. I think you should just try things you normally buy elsewhere and compare. We haven't found a lot of differences. Minor things here and there. We don't buy their yogurt since they add thickners to it. But a lot of the other stuff is just fine. We don't do a lot of processed food though so no cold cereals or things like that.
